Changes to Services from Sunday 18th October 2026

GOOD NEWS!  We are making changes to our network from 18th October to improve services with more buses and better connection opportunities across North & South Lanarkshire as well as to and from Glasgow.

Service X5 will be doubled in frequency on Mondays to Saturdays and will now operate every 30-minutes.  There will be an earlier morning bus and a later evening bus to and from Glasgow.  We will also introduce a NEW Sunday service, with buses running hourly during the day. 

Service 41 will see a revised timetable, especially in the early morning and late evening on Mondays to Saturdays, taking into account feedback from customers after the timetable changes introduced back in May.  On all days of the week, the service will now operate later into the evening to help support people travelling around our local communities.

NEW Service 230 will link Coatshill in Blantyre, and parts of Silvertonhill, with Hamilton Town Cente and Palace Grounds Retail Park.  The service will operate every 40-minutes between 9am and 2pm on Mondays to Fridays.  We are pleased to be re-instating this service in response to representations from local elected community representatives, after it was withdrawn by SPT back in March.  In Silvertonhill, the service will operate around Aitken Road and Fenwick Drive, linking this area of the town to Low Waters and the Town Centre.

NEW Service S6 will link Muirhouse and Netherton to Clyde Valley High School, replacing the current contracted buses.  Pupils will be able to continue travelling free if they use their U22 concession cards, or can buy a ticket on the bus - £1.70 each way or £3.00 for a Day Ticket.

The new timetables for the X5, 41 and 230 are shown below.  Paper copies will be available on our buses in the coming days.
